Job Overview
We are seeking a business savvy and skilled Bobcat Operator to join our company as a 1099 employee, to both find work and also perform the work. The ideal candidate will have contacts with either construction or landscaping companies to find hours for the machine, and experience operating a Bobcat while performing grading and land clearing. This role requires a strong interpersonal skills along with an understanding of equipment operation, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively with others.
Responsibilities
- Operate Bobcat for various construction tasks including grading and land clearing.
- Arrange agreements for work for the Bobcat with construction and landscaping contacts.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with customers to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols while operating machinery.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Skills
- Proficient in Bobcat operation with experience in excavation and land clearing.
- Knowledge of Bobcat attachments including buckets, Harley rakes, and forestry mulchers.
- Class A CDL is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Ability to perform grading and land clearing operations effectively and with precision.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Commitment to safety standards and practices.
Pay is better than hourly due arranging work with the business.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
