Northline Seafoods is seeking Seafood Processors for the 2025 Bristol Bay Salmon season, with the potential for continued full-time, year around employment based in Bellingham, WA September through May. Seafood Processors will work onboard our 400’ salmon freezing barge. Processors will be assigned to a variety of production roles and tasks as laid out below. This is an at-sea based position.

Northline Seafoods is seeking Seafood Processors for the 2025 Bristol Bay Salmon season, with the potential for continued full-time, year around employment based in Bellingham, WA September through May. Seafood Processors will work onboard our 400’ salmon freezing barge. Processors will be assigned to a variety of production roles and tasks as laid out below. This is an at-sea based position.
Duties May Include
- Sorting & Freezing: Processors will run fish elevators that move salmon from our holding tanks to our freezer lines. Processors may assist in sorting, loading freezer belts, tagging fish and more.
- Case Up & Cold Storage: Processors may build tote boxes, package frozen salmon, weight totes and move finished product into cold storage using pallet jacks.
- Inventory Management: Processors may assist in lot code tracking, label creation and final product tallying.
- Quality Control: Processors may assist with visual inspections & quality sorting, as well as ensure proper sanitization in processing areas.
- Forklift Operations: Processors with forklift experience may assist in moving and stacking of totes inside our cold storage freezers.
- Assist in various projects: All positions will help ensure our barge and production facilities are cleaned daily. Positions will cover additional duties as assigned or requested.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A strong candidate will be reliable, punctual and hard working.
- Must be able to work and stand for long hours – often up to 16 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Must be able to work in cold and wet environments for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to make repetitive motions using full body, twisting, bending, lifting, squatting.
- Must be able to climb multiple levels of stairs without assistance and navigate confined areas.
- Previous seafood industry experience is a plus, but we provide on -the-job training.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally more.
- Must be able to communicate in a way that allows you to understand your job, take direction, adhere to safety requirements. Some positions will require the ability to read and write.

- Free round-trip airfare from Point of Hire (Seattle or Anchorage) to and from Bristol Bay with successful completion of contract.
