Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to create comprehensive estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements
- Conduct site visits and assessments to understand project scope and conditions
- Identify and evaluate potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing, and industry standards
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and contract negotiations
- Provide support during the project execution phase to ensure cost control and adherence to budgets
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator, preferably in the Atlanta area
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes
- Proficient in estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
