What are the responsibilities and job description for the Applied Voice, Adjunct - Northwest Florida State College position at Northwest Florida State College?
The Division of Humanities, Fine, and Performing Arts at Northwest Florida State College invites applications for an Adjunct position in Applied Voice. We encourage applications from individuals who have experience working with diverse student populations, students in a community college setting, and those who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching, scholarship, and service. The adjunct in this position will teach Applied Voice, and other music courses as needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide instruction in Applied Voice for majors and non-majors.
- Attend and assist with Division Recitals for Applied Music students.
- Teach music courses in the General Education Core as needed.
- Direct choral ensemble(s) if needed.
- Participate in division recruitment activities.
- Complete annual mandatory compliance training.
- Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of a Master's degree in Music Performance - Voice; OR other related Master's in Music with 18 graduate hours in Voice from a regionally accredited postsecondary institution required.
- Basic piano proficiency required; advanced piano proficiency preferred.
- Minimum one year of postsecondary teaching experience preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to community involvement preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Documented record of professional performance experience preferred.
- Excellent writing, oral communication, and presentation skills
- Goal-driven with the ability to provide reliable insight into opportunities for improvement.
- All degrees must be from a regionally accredited postsecondary institution.
