What are the responsibilities and job description for the OR Tech PRN position at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center?
Description
The OR Tech provides intra-facility patient, equipment and supply transportation services for the Surgical Services area and affiliated service lines. Works with related ancillary and surgical departments to ensure efficient and continuity of patient care as scheduled. Communicates and coordinates with surgical staff. Provides patient interaction during transportation events to ensure patient comfort, safety and quality hospital experience. Assists with surgical unit cleaning and stocking.
Requirements
Must be able to read and write the equivalent of 8th grade English.
Completion of a program for nursing assistance is preferred.
One (1) year of direct patient care experience is preferred.
BLS certification is required (or within 30 days of hire into the position).
