What are the responsibilities and job description for the NWOESC- INTERVENTION SPECIALIST position at Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center (Nwoesc)?
QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold proper Ohio Department of Education Intervention Specialist licensure, or be eligible to obtain a supplemental license.
SCHEDULE: Full-time per school calendar; positions may be available effective January 1, 2023, as well as beginning in the 2023-24 school year
DESCRIPTION:
Communicate high expectations for students and show an active interest in their progress
Demonstrate ability to motivate and support students to achieve goals
Provide differentiated instruction
Ability to provide guidance and direction to paraprofessionals
Work effectively as a team member with related service providers, co-teachers, and paraprofessionals
Interact positively and professionally with students, families, and educators
Utilize positive behavior supports and interventions with students
LOCATION: Public schools in Henry, Fulton, Williams, or Defiance counties (location TBD)
CONTRACT: Per School Calendar
SALARY: Per the adopted salary schedule based on training and experience
BENEFITS: Paid sick leave and personal days. Health, dental, vision, and life insurance are available if working over 25 hours/week.
Membership in STRS retirement system.
