Northwest Talent Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Health Information (HIM) to join our clients team on a fulltime basis. As the Director of HIM you will be responsible for overseeing the management and organization of all health information for our client. All candidates must be RHIT certified.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the management of health information in accordance with industry standards and regulations
Oversee the maintenance and security of all health information including electronic health records paper records and other forms of data
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information
Develop and implement training programs for staff to ensure proper handling and management of health information
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely documentation and coding of patient records
Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in health information management processes
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in health information technology to continuously improve our systems and processes
Manage a team of HIM professionals and provide guidance and support to ensure highquality work and efficient operations
Serve as a liaison between our company and external stakeholders such as insurance companies government agencies and healthcare providers
Prepare and present reports to company leadership on the status of health information management and any related issues or concerns
Qualifications :
Associates degree in Health Information Management or a related field
RHIT Certification is required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in health information management
Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other industry standards and regulations
Experience with electronic health record systems and other health information technology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Detailoriented and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Analytical and problemsolving skills
Ability to adapt to changing environments and work well under pressure
