What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swim Instructor position at Northwestern CT YMCA?

We have openings in our aquatics department for the right people to teach swim lessons to children and adults in Torrington.
Requirements:
- Must be able to be in the water with class participants.
- Must be enthusiastic and responsible to teach adults and children.
- Should have experience working with children.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Preference will be given to those with swimming experience.
- Should have a current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Become familiar with and carry out Emergency Procedures, building rules & regulations.
- Must be able to communicate effectively while demonstrating Y Core Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
Part-time, up to 20 hours per week
Various shifts available especially weekday evenings and Saturdays 9am-1pm
