What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Recruiting Coordinator position at Northwestern Mutual?
The position of Campus Recruiting Coordinator provides support for all campus recruiting efforts in the Heurung Network Office. This position involves performing functions that allow the recruiting team to efficiently attract, recruit, select and contract interning financial representatives. This person has an overall understanding of the recruitment and selection process. This position requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals. The duties of this position entail specific responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
Recruiting and Selection Support
- Support the Campus Recruiters to reach selection process activity, contract and conversion goals
- Maintain candidate database via home office-supported software: uploading resumes, creating candidate profiles, enter notes
- Schedule and confirm interviews, coordinate logistics for candidates and recruiters
- Enter all information into tracking reports
- Update presentations and reporting for recruiting meetings
- Manage the administration and organization of the recruiting process and of candidates as they work through our recruiting cycle & assist in administration of selection profile tools
- Initiate the beginning stages of the contracting & licensing process and communicate closely with the Contracting & Licensing coordinator
- Assist in a variety of recruiting office initiatives and special marketing projects as needed throughout the year
- Coordinate and execute advertising and marketing strategies that include career fairs, online job postings and promotion of philanthropy & community events
- Source leads to potential Financial Representatives within the community, on campuses, and within the office
- Phone leads to potential candidates in order to schedule interviews and facilitate our selection process
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred
- One or two years of office experience preferred
- Demonstrated organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to take independent action to make sound decisions.
- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels
- Highly ambitious and driven to perform in a challenging environment
- Connections to University of St. Thomas, University of St. John’s, College of St. Benedict’s, University of Minnesota-Duluth, University of Minnesota, and St. Cloud State University is a plus
