What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installer, Housing and Energy Programs position at Northwestern Ohio Community Action Commission?

Help these households keep the cost of keeping up their homes low by drilling and blowing insulation into side walls, attics and floors to minimize escape of heat. Improve over-all energy efficiency while decreasing heat loss and air leakage. Other duties include:
- Repair or replace exterior prime doors which could include repair or replacement of locksets, hinges and door jambs.
- Install roof, gable, foundation or soffit vents, install baffle shoots in attic, install exhaust fans and extend exhaust pipes through roof.
- Repair/replace prime windows: repair of broken glass, sashes, sills or weather-stripping.
- Conduct, compute and analyze blower door tests. Complete a zone test on attic or crawl as required and complete worst case draft testing as required.
- Obtain and maintain current working knowledge of program regulations, SWS, standards and codes including all OSHA compliance codes and/or regulations.
- Successfully complete all required state-mandated training and certifications within required time frames.
Schedule and wage: Monday-Thursday (off Fri-Sun), 7:00-4pm. $21.14/hr. 34 hours per week.
Minimum Requirements for Education and Experience
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated experience in home construction, home remodeling, weatherization skills training or technical school, preferred.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must be over the age of 19, have an Ohio Driver's License and have a good driving record in order to be covered under the NOCAC insurance policy.
Physical Requirements:
- Work on roofs and ladders at varying heights.
- Lift objects up to 50 pounds;
- Push, pull, and move objects weighing up to 100 pounds;
- Must have the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time.
