Responsibilities
The CIED RN Coordinator will facilitate the care and education of Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) patients and their families from initial implant, through the enrollment for remote follow-up and in office follow-up at implant, and during the post-operative period. They will to continue to provide care for the life of the CIED and facilitate replacement of the battery or any malfunction of the device. The CIED Coordinator will follow-up in the outpatient/ambulatory care setting, ensuring continuity of care across the CIED continuum. The CIED RN coordinator will provide outpatient and caregiver education, and will provide educational programs offered to health care providers, patient groups, community organizations, and others in the hospital's service area by Norton Healthcare.
Qualifications
Required:
- Three (3) years of progressive responsibility and work experience in cardiology or intensive care
- Associate Degree
- Registered Nurse (KY)
Desired:
- Bachelor Degree
- Basic Life Support OR International Board Heart Rhythm Examiners
