Responsibilities
The role of the Manager, Norton Children's Hospital Transport Services is to ensure the delivery of competent and efficient patient care through appropriate coordination of clinical services, to provide guidance in the attainment of clinical goals and to promote teamwork among all associates to ensure that standards for clinical outcomes and regulatory compliance are met on an on-going basis. This manager has the authority, accountability and responsibility for management of all aspects of their departmental budget.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintains productivity that meets the established expectations and is able to develop a corrective action plan for variances.
- Coordinates the maintenance of clinical facilities, equipment, supplies and operational areas to ensure compliance with established standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensures ongoing allocation of staff as evidenced by review and approval of appropriate scheduling period.
- Maintains tools and systems to ensure compliance with capital, personnel and operating budgets.
Qualifications
Required:
- Three years as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) or Paramedic in an acute care setting
- One of: EMT-P or RT
Desired:
- Three years management in a clinical setting
- Bachelor Degree
- Respiratory Therapist (State) OR Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic
