Sr. Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager and Hub Team leader will be responsible for overseeing and managing all capital expenditure projects within the assigned hub of sites in the Americas region. This role involves planning, budgeting, team development, and execution of capital projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. The Senior Project Manager and Hub Team leader will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, finance, and operations, to drive project success and support the company's growth objectives. He/she will lead a team of Project Managers, Project Engineers and Construction managers that will manage Site Capex portfolios and Capital projects within the hub.

In your future role as Sr. Project Manager you will

• Lead and manage capital expenditure portfolios ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Secure resources are assigned to the different programs and projects of the Hub portfolio.
• Lead and mentor Site Capex Managers to follow the global Portfolio Management Process.
• Responsible for the Hub Capex execution performance.
• Lead and manage capital expenditure projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Track and report on project expenditures, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Conduct cost analysis and negotiate contracts with vendors and contractors to achieve cost savings.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Communicate project status, milestones, and potential issues to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
• Ensure all projects are executed with the highest safety standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, Project Engineers and Construction Managers, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
• Provide indirect leadership to discipline engineers and site Capex Managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Evaluate team performance and implement actions to enhance productivity, efficiency, and professional growth.
  

We believe you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, business administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Capex management or project management within the chemical or related industry. Proven track record of successfully managing capital projects
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in the chemical industry
• Ability to manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
• Leadership & coaching skills
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred
