Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lavon, TX, for an Estimator. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for landscaping and irrigation projects by analyzing project plans, specifications, and other related documents. Daily tasks will include coordinating with clients and vendors, developing project schedules, performing take-offs and cost analysis, and ensuring that project bids adhere to timelines and budgets.
Qualifications
- Experience in cost estimation, project take-offs, material buyouts, and bid preparation
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, project specifications, and landscape and irrigation design plans
- Strong background in project scheduling and budget management
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency with software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Background in landscaping or construction is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or a degree in a related field is advantageous
- Familiarity with Excel, ACC, Plangrid, Bluebeam, Procore, Aspire and other relevant systems
