Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Controls Assembly Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels and related equipment. Whether you're experienced or eager to learn, we welcome individuals who are passionate about electrical systems and enjoy working in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and wire electrical control panels according to schematics and layout drawings
- Perform quality checks to ensure functionality and compliance with industry standards
- Troubleshoot wiring and component issues during the assembly process
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- This position will support shops in Gaylord and Atlanta, Michigan as well as Alpena. Your preference for work location will be considered.
Skills
- Electrical Assembly: Ability to assemble and wire control panels accurately
- Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams (or willingness to learn)
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with hand tools and equipment used in electrical assembly
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality and precision
- Teamwork & Communication: Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly
Knowledge
- Understanding of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in electrical assembly
- Awareness of industry standards and safety protocols
- Previous experience in electrical assembly or panel wiring is preferred but not required
Ability to Implement
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve wiring and component issues
- Project Execution: Manage tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure project success
