Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Research Associate who takes on the responsibility in support of study projects on cellular assays for Adjuvant and Vaccine candidates. This position will require the incumbent to develop and qualify assays for analyzing samples from preclinical and clinical studies, mainly by using Flowcytometric staining, but can extend to other cellular assays such as Elispot and cytotoxicity assay. This position will mostly involve hands-on laboratory work.

Essential Functions

• Operating and maintaining BD LSR Fortessa and BD Symphony machines
• Manipulating immune cells from mice tissues and/or human PBMCs
• Primary cell culture and manipulation
• Developing and executing multiple immunological assays such as Intracellular Cytokine Staining Assay, Flowcytometric staining, Elispot and ELISA
• Establishing laboratory SOPs as well as drafting technical, assay and reagent qualification reports
• Assisting supervisor in data analysis and data reviewing
• General lab organization and maintenance including equipment maintenance and calibration; cost-effective management of assay material and reagent inventories

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Immunology/Virology or relevant field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in research, pharmaceutical and/or vaccine development field.
• Extensive experience with multi-color flowcytometric staining, including a good understanding of a 3-4 laser Flowcytometer and concepts of machine configuration.
• Experience on other immunological assays such as Elispot, T cell and B cell culture, and ELISA; experience with murine and human immune cells.
• Experience in processing human blood and handling human PBMC.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently on projects, design experiments, and analyze data with minimal supervision.
• Computer skills; familiar with relevant software such as Excel, PowerPoint, and PRISM used to perform job responsibilities.
