What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Staff Accountant position at NSD NEWCO?
Provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts; preparing financial statements. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and accuracy are important qualifications for this position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review data and ensure financial compliance.
- Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports.
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciliating transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analysis
- Month-end and year-end closings
- Bank reconciliations
- Assisting in special projects
- Responding to information requests and assisting with audits
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- At least 5 years of experience in the Accounting field
- Experience in a large company with a high volume of transactions
Knowledge and SKILLS:

Hours Required: Monday - Friday 8:15 am – 4:45 pm with occasional overtime as needed.
