Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) with Telemetry experience to join our team. In this role, you will care for patients who require closer monitoring than those on a general medical-surgical unit but are not critical enough for the ICU.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1 year of recent Stepdown/PCU experience
- Telemetry experience required – must be proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation
- ACLS & BLS certification (AHA required)
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and recognize dysrhythmias
- Administer medications, IV drips, and treatments as prescribed
- Assess, plan, and implement patient care based on clinical needs
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans
- Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals
