Location: Westlake, TX (hybrid position)
Overview:
NTT DATA is seeking a highly experienced consultant and data engineer to join NTT DATA s innovative Data Village team as a Data Village Player Coach in Texas. This hybrid role (one week on/ one week off)focuses on enabling enterprise-scale Business Intelligence frameworks, with a strong emphasis on Power BI, Snowflake, Azure and secure data infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on enterprise analytics, and deep expertise in Power BI, including framework support, capacity management, and enterprise enablement. In addition, the ideal candidate will have:
Strong scripting skills in Python and PowerShell.
Experience with Snowflake as a primary cloud analytics platform.
Strong understanding of hybrid on-prem/cloud architectures.
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and capacity planning.
Proficiency in managing secure data environments and encrypted data flows.
Excellent analytical, communication, and client-facing skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a first responder for Power BI dashboard issues and framework-level escalations.
Maintain and enhance 10 15 enterprise-wide Power BI frameworks for automation in instance deployment, version upgrades and analytic/viz framework design.
Perform proof-of-concepts (POCs) and adapt to evolving BI tools.
Support and manage Power BI at the enterprise level, enabling analytics across 20 business units
Collaborate with business units to ensure visualization standards and performance optimization.
Manage and automate Power BI Gateway deployments across 200 VMs.
Demonstrate experience managing Power BI tenant architecture and Microsoft Fabric capacities at scale, including strategic planning and implementation.
Lead and guide cross-functional teams in enterprise-level BI initiatives, with strong examples of collaboration and influence.
Utilize hands-on experience with enterprise security frameworks, including role-based access control, data governance, and compliance protocols.
Use strategic foresight to architect solutions that are platform-agnostic, scalable, and adaptable to future technology shifts.
Work in large-scale environments, with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions that support long-term growth.
Support migration to Microsoft Fabric capacity and manage premium capacity environments.
Ensure secure handling of highly confidential data with full encryption protocols.
Troubleshoot Snowflake connectivity and optimize queries for performance.
Build and maintain robust batch and streaming data pipelines using Python and PowerShell
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
10 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on enterprise analytics.
4 years of Power BI experience (framework support, capacity management, enterprise enablement, etc.)
3 years of scripting skills in Python and PowerShell.
2 years of experience with Snowflake as a primary cloud analytics platform.
2 years of experience working on hybrid on-prem/cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
