Technical Director
Job Description:
The government client is looking for IT service delivery, IT infrastructure, and IT lifecycle operations support for all of its sites and employees. Specifically, the client is looking for skilled IT professionals with specialized knowledge across various technology areas, including adjusting IT services as required based on needs, monitoring systems to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems, minimizing downtime, receiving 24/7 support, and improving IT security.
The Technical Director directs and manages technical activities related to implementation, transition, upgrades, testing, break fix, operations and maintenance. The Director- DevOps serves as an operational government client Point of Contact and contact for government-owned, external vendor solution elements for interoperability activities, communications, and escalations. The Director- DevOps performs technical engineering requirements associated with procurement, sustainment, modification, and performance of specific systems or sub-systems; provides technical guidance, data analysis, reports, assist in the coordination of all technical activities to include system analysis and facilities with Government oversight for inherently Government activities that require a decision or that might obligate the Government. The Director-DevOps ensures any performance degradations not specifically and directly delivered services under this call order can be supported in the operational model with the greatest efficiency and least government staff activity. The Director-DevOps ensures technology alignment to the strategy, roadmap, and technical architecture decisions of the government. The Director- DevOps has strong leadership, communication and project management skills, in-depth technical knowledge and the ability to adapt to evolving technologies. The Director-DevOps has direct past experience within two (2) years of a candidate being on-board in the position.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management, or a related field at time of proposal submission.
- Education Equivalency: 6 additional years of positional work experience can be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 8 years of recent experience in technical roles such as software development or system administration.
- Must be a US Citizen who possesses a Secret Clearance.
