Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Skyline is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Senior Accountant. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with the month end close procedures
• Preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing, reviewing, and submitting financial reporting to our plants, sales offices, and corporate office
• Maintaining and continuously improving the internal control structure.
• Assists with audits, surveys and other special projects.
• Assisting in Hyperion (HFM) consolidation, reporting, report building, and maintaining correct GL Mapping.
• Supports the Accounting Manager and Accounting Leads with other accounting tasks, as needed.
• Successful candidates will use their excellent in-person, verbal, and written communication skills to develop relationships across Skyline Steel, Nucor, and the industry.
• Demonstrates ability to lead teammates and provide guidance on accounting issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4-year degree in Accounting or other financially related field
• Microsoft Office experience
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s in Accounting or CPA

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
