Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Data Systems is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Field Project Foreman. The responsibilities for this role include and are not limited to, coordinate operations and oversee employees at various constructions sites throughout the United States. A Project Foreman will be the liaison between workers and management, the foremen will be the key person in charge of overseeing the completion of the project with a keen awareness of material expenses, labor hours and employee safety. A foreman will also need to possess the ability to develop and oversee quality standards, coordinate daily tasks according to priorities, communicate and report effectively and strong problem-solving abilities.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in Commercial/Industrial construction and/or Manufacturing
- Ability to read and understand plans, drawings and specifications
- Ability to travel five (5) or more consecutive days
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record
- Able to navigate and use computer or tablet to access emails and project information
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Graduate and/or GED. Bachelor’s degree, trade school or training program equivalent encouraged
- Preferably 3 years' experience as a construction foreman
- Ability to travel weekly and for multiple weeks if necessary
- Bilingual English / Spanish preferred
- OSHA 30, Forklift and Scissor lift certifications
- Strong knowledge and ability to layout a project in the field with basic measuring equipment and plans
- Generate and understand work schedules and crew scheduling
- Ability to delegate responsibilities and individual projects to the employees as determined by their capabilities and the general requirements of specific work projects and site parameters and contractors
- Manage, mentor and train employees whenever they join the team and provide development and oversee quality standards on job site
- Monitor and manage project budgets on job site
