Job Summary:

We are looking for a Paint Prep Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring our cabinet doors are properly prepared for finishing. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, experience with sanding and surface preparation, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cabinet doors and components for painting by sanding, filling, and priming surfaces.
• Ensure all surfaces are smooth and free from defects before painting.
• Handle and maintain painting tools, sanding equipment, and finishing materials.
• Assist in masking and taping off areas to ensure clean, professional finishes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety and quality standards.
• Follow all company safety procedures and protocols.
• Work collaboratively with the painting and production teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in paint preparation, woodworking, or a related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot surface imperfections.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in sanding and prep work.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and quality control procedures.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift materials throughout the shift.

Pay: $19.66 - $25.88 per hour
