Retail Agent/Budtender

As a Budtender, you will be the face of our dispensary, helping our medical patients and recreational customers navigate our wide selection of cannabis products and ensuring they have a positive and informative experience. Your expertise in cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods, coupled with your excellent communication skills, will play a crucial role in assisting our customers in making informed decisions. A successful candidate will be 21 years of age or older, able to work in a very fast-paced environment as we continue to grow and expand. Must be motivated, trustworthy, and able to operate both independently and within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner acting as a knowledgeable and approachable resource, answering questions and providing information about cannabis products.
• Offer product recommendations based on customer preferences, needs, and desired effects.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods.
• Understand the differences between various strains (indica, sativa, hybrid) and their effects; educate customers on proper dosage and consumption methods.
• Familiarity with different product types, including flower, concentrates, edibles, and topicals.
• Adhere to all local and state cannabis regulations, including age verification and identification checks.
• Maintain accurate records of sales and inventory as required by law.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and compliant with all safety and security protocols.
• Effectively promote sales by upselling and cross-selling related products; provide pricing information and explain discounts or promotions to customers.
• Handle cash transactions and use the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
• Complete required training sessions and stay up to date product knowledge.
• Additional duties may be required as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
• Flexibility to work required evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
