Retail Agent/Budtender

NuEra is looking for a passionate and professional individual to fill the role of Budtender/ Retail Agent. We are a growing Illinois cannabis operator with a cultivation center and 6 licensed operating dispensaries. We are committed to creating a highly professional and welcoming environment where both medical cannabis patients and recreational purchasers can find the high-quality products and information that they need.

We are looking for applicants, 21 or older, who are passionate about cannabis and are excited to join this growing industry. This position involves daily customer interaction as well as knowledge of inventory and product brands. We are seeking applicants primarily experienced in retail, with very strong customer service skills. Familiarity with the MCPP (medical cannabis pilot program) is a plus, as our budtenders are responsible for assisting and educating patients. Previous food service or retail experience preferred. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, and must be willing to submit to a background check.

A successful candidate will be able to work in a very fast-paced environment as we continue to grow and expand. Must be motivated, trustworthy, and able to operate both independently and within a team environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strong customer service skills and written/communication skills

• Accurate use and maintenance of a Point Of Sale (POS) system for all in-store purchases and online pre-order pick-ups

• Handling cash and counting properly

• Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked environment for our customers

• Proficient with data entry and computers

• Strong interpersonal skills/ability to work well with others

• Positive attitude

• Knowledge of cannabis and cannabis therapies

• Full-time availability, including weekends and holidays

• Understanding new products, strains, law changes, and industry trends in order to provide the highest level of service to customers

• Other duties, as assigned

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Retail experience preferred

• Must be at least 21 years old

• Attention to detail; shows initiative to learn; is punctual and dependable; is cooperative; has a team-oriented work ethic

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Uneven surfaces, stand/sit long periods of time, bending/stopping, hard surfaces, ambient temperature environment

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

HOURS

• Sunday to Saturday - 10 hour shifts/day and requires weekend/holiday rotation

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
