Based in Chicago Heights, IL Nufarm is looking to engage a motivated Packaging Production Manager to Lead the packaging production teams across all shifts to deliver the requirements of the packaging production schedule with strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. Lead, develop, and mentor the packaging shift supervisors and packaging production team members to achieve their highest potential and drive the schedule to compliance.
What will you be doing?
Lead by example and drive an incident free workplace. Clear integration into departments - HSE goals and requirements for all positions in the department through accountabilities and responsibilities to lead and model the right behaviors.
Responsible for making sure updated documentation records of Standard Operating Procedures, performance reports, timesheet submittal and manufacturing excellence data collection are completed in an efficient manner.
Ensure the packaging department performance management and development training plans meets Nufarm’s longer term succession and structural requirements.
Responsible for meeting all packaging production schedules shift-to-shift and day-to-day in all aspects of the work centers of the department.
Accountable for the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) performance and long-term stewardship of the process. Drive long term performance of processes, incorporate best demonstrated practices, standard operating procedures, waste reduction initiatives and the implementation of lean and 5S 1 tools.
