What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Intern position at Numerator Career Center?
Numerator is looking for a team player that has a passion for learning backend applications as a Backend Engineering Intern. Work side by side with our Numerator Engineering team members to learn and contribute to building our market research software. This is a hands-on role designed to introduce professional software engineering principles and practices to contribute to our data processing software.
How You'll Spend Your Time:
- Take on substantial tasks that will contribute to our existing codebase.
- Have daily interactions with engineers on the Numerator engineering team. Each member of the team has their own areas of expertise and they will all be available to collaborate and share experiences.
- Work with our big data pipeline that includes skills such as computer vision, machine learning and data processing using technologies such as Python, Django and MySQL.
- Gain practical experience working as a professional engineer, which includes non-technical skills such as communication and working as a team.
- Work with an engineering mentor to design and code features for our software pipeline.
