Role Summary:
We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Travel RN - Surgical Specialty from Minot, ND for a 13-week contract assignment in Oklahoma City, OK. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in dynamic hospital environments, particularly in surgical care units and high-acuity settings.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients in a surgical specialty unit
- Interpret physician orders, assess patient conditions, and execute care plans
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and update treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Participate in discharge planning and patient education
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Adhere to infection control and hospital policies
- Provide support in trauma care settings when necessary
What We Need from You:
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or Compact RN License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
- 2 years of RN experience, preferably in Level 1 Trauma or Surgical Specialty Units
- Excellent communication, clinical, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and manage fast-paced, high-pressure situations
