Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Day & Night Shifts Available

We’re currently hiring Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) for a 12-hour private duty home health case located on the Mesa in Santa Barbara. This is a hospice patient requiring standby assist with ADLs and oxygen management. Shifts available are 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, offering both day and night options. Responsibilities:

• Performs routine nursing duties including but not limited to:
• Assistance with ADL’s and IADL’s
• Client and caregiver health instruction
• Notifies the Registered Nurse or Clinical Director of any changes in client’s condition
• Performs the following where training or demonstrated skills and the state nurse practice act permits:
• Inserting and irrigating tubes and Foley catheters
• Administering oxygen by mask or cannula
• Ventilator, Tracheostomy care and suctioning endotracheally
• Supervision of aides and other health care team members
  
  

Qualifications:

• Current LVN licensure with the State Board of Nursing in the State of California
• New Grads Welcome
• Current CPR card (live demonstration course only)
• Proof of current Physical completedwithin the last 12 months
• Negative TB/PPD or ChestX-Rays within the last 12 months
• Successful completion of the skills assessment specific to the areas of experience including any specialty areas
