Nussbaum is seeking a Trailer Technician to join our shop team in Hudson, Illinois. In this role, you will help service and maintain our fleet of semi-trailers. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, positive work environment and enjoys serving customers (our drivers) and coworkers. They possess strong communication skills and work to understand driver's equipment needs. Key responsibilities include:

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Nussbaum shop and warranty standards
• Maintain fleet through Preventative Maintenance
• Heavy electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Brake and wheel-end repairs
• Suspension diagnosing and repair work
• Light to heavy body repair
• Installation and servicing third-party add-ons
• Accurately log work within maintenance software.
• Document/write diagnostic steps and corrective actions implemented
• Willing to continually learn as equipment technologies change

Schedule

• Full-time Positions
• Shift A: Sunday through Wednesday, 2pm -12:30am
• Shift B: Tuesday through Friday, 2pm -12:30am
• Shift availability based on company needs at the time of hire
• Differential in place for 2^nd shift

JOB REQUIREMENTS ☑️

Experience & Qualifications (Preferred but not required)

• Brake and DOT Certifications
• 1 – 2 years of mechanical experience or completion of a tech program
• Welding certificate or 6-months of experience
• Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License
• Basic toolkit and toolbox
