Infrastructure Systems Engineer
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both server and network administration and bring strong expertise in Cisco networking and VMware configuration. We are looking for someone skilled in direct configuration and management of Cisco network components, VMware environments, and Windows Servers—not simply familiar with these technologies.

- Residency in Michigan and 100% onsite (Auburn Hills) work are mandatory.
- No relocation options available.
- Legal right to work in the United States required; no visa sponsorship available.

We are looking for someone skilled in direct configuration and management of Cisco network components, VMware environments, and Windows Servers—not simply familiar with these technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with IT Operations, Applications, Cybersecurity, and Risk & Compliance teams to support infrastructure initiatives.
- Microsoft Application Suite Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams for efficient systems and infrastructure support.
- Cisco Networking & VMware: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco network components and VMware infrastructure, leveraging hands-on experience to resolve issues and optimize performance.
- Server and Network Administration: Manage and maintain server and network environments, addressing both systems-level and network-specific configurations and challenges.
- Network & Infrastructure Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve escalated network, infrastructure, and user issues received from a remote service desk.
- Client Project Implementation: Execute client projects by leveraging prior technical experience, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Performance Optimization: Design and monitor networks to maximize infrastructure performance.
- Documentation & Record-Keeping: Create and maintain accurate, timely documentation for clients, including records of network topologies and configuration changes.
- Training & Knowledge Transfer: Provide shadowing opportunities and on-the-job training for Service Desk personnel.
- Security & Virus Protection: Maintain, configure, and monitor virus protection software, implementing measures to secure data, software, and hardware.
- Change & Configuration Management: Follow approved change management protocols, implementing upgrades and system changes as required.
- Disaster Recovery & Backup: Perform disaster recovery operations, data backups, and restore operations as needed to ensure system continuity.
- System Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Investigate, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network/system issues, coordinating with advanced engineering SMEs as needed.
- Hardware & Software Replacement: Replace faulty infrastructure components as required.
- System & Infrastructure Monitoring: Operate master consoles to monitor and maintain performance across infrastructure and computer systems.
- Network Access & Optimization: Maintain, optimize, and standardize wireless and computer network infrastructure, coordinating access and usage.
- Proven hands-on experience in both server and network administration.
- Strong skills in Cisco networking systems configuration and troubleshooting.
- Skilled in VMware setup, management, and troubleshooting.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (M365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
- Experience in diagnosing and resolving network and infrastructure issues.
- Strong background in Windows Servers administration and configuration.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Experience with disaster recovery and data backup practices.
- Knowledge of network security principles and virus protection software.
- Onsite Requirement: This position is onsite at our clients Auburn Hills, MI, facility, with the potential for one remote day per week after 90 days of onsite work.
- Must be comfortable with hands-on, direct configuration and problem-solving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
