Reporting to the Process Manager - Geismar Low Carbon NH3 Project, the Capital Project Process Engineer isresponsibleforsupportinga major capital project $1B planned for the Geismar site. The selected candidate(s) would work closely with the project team tosupportthesuccessfulimplementation of the project. This role is viewed as a once in career opportunity todevelopcritical project implementation engineering, start-up and operation skills.Thesuccessful candidate(s) would demonstrate a willingness toadaptto fluctuating work loads, which mayinvolvelong hoursduring critical periods and would work towards developingexcellentleadershipattributes with thesupportof an experienced project team. Must be willing to relocate to Geismar, La within 4-6 mo. for project duration.

Job Description:
Essential Duties andResponsibilities:
- Collaboratedaily with project team members to implement a large capital project (FEL engineering through startup)
- Supportproject team to safely deliver a plant that meets performance standards, implemented on time and within approved budget
- Collaboratewith engineering companies during plant design as technical resource for project team
- Ensures sound and optimized process design and helps to integrate sub projects into a cohesive whole
- Performs and verifies process modeling, Heat and Material Balances
- Performs and verifies process design and equipment sizing calculations for piping, exchangers, separators, PSVs, valves, and other process equipment
- Creates project specification and scope documents
- SupportsProjectenvironmentalpermitting
- Interfaces with and guidesdiscussions with external groups including licensors, detail engineering companies, project partners, regulatory groups, and internal stakeholders
- Reviews and approves project documentation including general specs, equipment data sheets, P IDs, PFDs, vendor docs, and other project documentation
- Contributes to PSM program through process reviews, PHAs, PSSRs, and the MOC Process
- Participates in or guidescommissioning activities. Develops commissioning plan and documentation or works closely with commissioning lead in development of plan and documentation. Performs commissioning engineering calculations.

RequiredEducation and Experience:
- Chemical Engineering degree
- 2-3yearsof experience in operations or engineering
RequiredSkills:Do notchangethe below formatting
- Knowledge (theoretical or practicalunderstandingof a subject)
- Sound knowledge of chemical engineeringprinciples, including thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, heat transfer, compression, refrigeration, and fluiddynamics
- Skills (proficiencies developed through training or experience)
- Use of engineering software such as UniSim Design, Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, HTRI, Aspen EDR, DFS, Visio, MS project, and Navis works
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to performengineering calculations
