The Vice President of Business Development will lead strategic growth initiatives for NUU’s handheld point-of-sale (POS) systems. This role will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, expanding into new markets, and driving revenue growth. This position brings deep knowledge of the payments and POS industry, a proven track record of B2B sales leadership, and the ability to scale partner and customer relationships globally.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy & Planning- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company’s overall growth objectives.
- Identify emerging trends in the POS and payments industry and provide insight to inform product and go-to-market strategy.
- Lead market analysis efforts to assess new business opportunities, customer segments, and competitive positioning.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key strategic partners, including payment processors, acquirers, software vendors, ISVs, OEMs, and enterprise clients.
- Negotiate and close partnership agreements that support revenue goals and expand the company’s market reach.
- Represent the company in industry events, trade shows, and forums to build brand awareness and relationships.
- Oversee and support the business development and sales teams to ensure consistent pipeline growth and deal closure.
- Establish sales targets, performance metrics, and accountability systems to track progress and adjust tactics as needed.
- Work closely with the product, marketing, and engineering teams to align customer needs with product development.
- Drive high-level enterprise sales and nurture relationships with key accounts, including large retailers, hospitality groups, and payment service providers.
- Collaborate with customer success and account management teams to ensure strong onboarding, satisfaction, and retention.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing business development team.
