Primary Responsibilities

The role encompasses managing and driving process improvement, safety, quality, and employee development.  The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: 

 

·       Develop long-range capacity planning and forecasts to ensure the plant capacity and growth is aligned with demand.  Ensure alignment and execution in each of the plants to attain the forecasts.

·       Partner with Homebuilding Operations and plant production departments to provide a high level of quality and timely resolution to any quality or delivery issues.

·       Drive the achievement of Brand Promise metrics and other Manufacturing yearly business objectives, such as productivity, quality and delivery goals.  Identify and implement projects and process improvement, throughout all plants, which focuses on results and fostering a culture of operational excellence. 

·       Partner with divisional, regional, and corporate Homebuilding peers to drive continuous improvement in costs, profitability, processes, and systems, in order to achieve Homebuilding and NVR goals.

·       Lead and influence the development of action plans for key strategic initiatives, focused on optimizing manufacturing operations for vertical integration, and ensure aligned execution by all manufacturing plants.

·       Manage key controllable operating expenses and develop cost control plans. 

·       Participate in broader strategic company initiatives with Homebuilding, Architectural Services, Procurement, and/or Finance, as assigned.

Position Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree required (business or engineering preferred)

·       MBA preferred

·       5 years of progressive leadership or management experience (manufacturing experience preferred)

·       Excellent problem-analysis, critical thinking, and strategic planning abilities

·       Able to convert financial analysis into meaningful operational recommendations and drive action and process improvement

·       Experience communicating effectively with all levels of an organization

·       Outstanding collaboration and conflict management abilities

·       Strong commitment to Customer Service

·       Excellent reliability, with strong planning and organizational skills

·       Focus on driving improvements within the organization and ability to persuade and influence others

·       Ability to coach and develop others to achieve goals and grow

·       Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, decision-making, adapting and meeting deadlines

·       Ability to travel to other NVR plants and locations, as needed
