We are seeking a hands-on and proactive Facilities & Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep and preventative maintenance of our Manhattan-based bakery cafés and production facility in Maspeth, Queens. This role is vital in ensuring the seamless operation of all mechanical, HVAC, and infrastructure systems across the business.

This role is vital in ensuring the seamless operation of all mechanical, HVAC, and infrastructure systems across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all maintenance and preventative maintenance programs for retail stores and the Maspeth production facility
- Manage relationships with external service vendors and contractors, ensuring quality and timely service
- Troubleshoot and coordinate repair of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and other critical building systems
- Maintain a maintenance calendar and ensure all equipment inspections and service intervals are met
- Respond to urgent facility issues and dispatch appropriate support swiftly
- Track and report on maintenance budgets and repair costs
- Partner with store managers and department heads to align on repair priorities and minimize disruption
- Maintain accurate logs of work orders, equipment manuals, and warranties
- Support future store build-outs and renovations from a mechanical/equipment lens
- Recommend and implement systems or tools to improve long-term equipment health and reliability
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in facilities or maintenance management, ideally in hospitality, retail, or food production
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, commercial refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Organized and detail-oriented, with ability to manage multiple sites
- Ability to respond to emergencies and urgent repairs on short notice
- Comfortable using basic maintenance tracking software or spreadsheets
- OSHA certification or related safety training is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
