The Senior Director of the Borough Business Centers is seeking a highly motivated, organized individual to serve as an Administrative Associate. The selected candidate's duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare daily reports timely; reconciliation should be error free 100% of the time. Prepare monthly stat reports to provide to Senior Management.
- Assist Borough Managers as necessary with special assignments and any other Business Center units that may need assistance within the specified function guideline of office title. Accept assignments to other work units as workload requires and meet the performance standard of those tasks.
- Determine service needs of respondents by interview and review of documentation, records, and database. When necessary, refer customers who need additional assistance to a manager or the related specialty area, to accomplish their task.
- Review all documentation/evidence presented by the customer. Perform research using the database, microfiche and/or files. Update all database in a timely manner including placing holds where applicable. Maintain correct up-to-date and relevant back-up documentation.
- Assist borough offices with supervisory functions.
- Serve as a Floating Supervisor as necessary, to assist the Borough Managers in the absence of the Assistant Managers.
- Complete special projects; manages special projects for the Senior Director regularly.
- As a Business Center liaison, works closely with FIT to help resolve IT issues for all of the borough offices.
- Review and resolve cases requiring identification of a misapplied payment, moving a payment from one parcel to another parcel or from one plate to another plate, redistributing overpayment, or dismissing parking tickets administratively.
- Assisting the Senior Director with all hiring processes for all the Business Centers.
Minimum Qual Requirements
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or
2. An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described in "1" above; or
3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience as described in "1" above;
4. Education and/or experience equivalent to "1", "2", or "3" above. However, all candidates must possess the one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described in "1" above. Education above the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience (but not for the one year of administrative or supervisory experience described in "1" above) at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3½ years.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. Salary : $53,057 - $61,015
