Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Control Panel Technician to join our clients team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing control panels for various electrical systems. Must have experience building Industrial Control Panels, possess a strong understanding of electrical principles and have hands-on experience with schematics and power tools. This position requires a commitment to quality and safety while ensuring that all work meets industry standards.
Duties
- Assemble control panels according to provided schematics and specifications.
- Perform electrical wiring and ensure proper connections for all components.
- Utilize power tools, calipers, and ohmmeters to complete tasks accurately.
- Test and troubleshoot logic controllers and other electrical devices within the panels.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with supervisors to improve panel design, functionality and resolve issues.
- Document all assembly processes and modifications made during production.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience with Industrial Control Panel assemble is a must!
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics related to electrical systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in using various hand and power tools.
- Familiarity with electrical wiring standards and practices.
- Experience working with logic controllers, PCB, and surface mount technology is preferred.
- Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and take direction
This is a direct hire position. Must be eligible to work in the US permanently. Must live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.
