Journeyman Custom Builder

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret architectural blueprints and drawings.
- Measure and cut materials using a variety of hand tools and saws.
- Build high-quality millwork such as reception desks, custom shelving, and wall paneling.
- Install hardware.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Deliver exceptional customer service.
- Assist with installation as needed.
- Operate a forklift to move materials
- Serve as a lead builder guiding staff on large projects,
- Independently leads complex construction projects such as curved wall paneling, custom bars, and solid surface counter tops.
Must Have Skills:
- Experience operating various wood machinery such as planers, sliding table saws, vacuum bag and hand tools.
- Detail-oriented and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and perform tasks with minimal supervision.
- Advanced knowledge of measuring and calculating project dimensions using a tape measure and calculator.
- Able to reliably commute to our River Falls, WI office, which is a short distance from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro area.
- Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds or more.
- Competent in operating a forklift.
- At least 6-7 years of experience building custom cabinetry or finish carpentry work, preferably commercial.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Degree or Certificate in Cabinet Making, Carpentry, or Wood Technology.
- Experience using Tradesoft ERP system
- Advanced knowledge of AWI building standards.
- 10 years of experience as a Journeyman Finish Carpenter in commercial cabinetry.
