The Logistics Specialist is responsible for processing, monitoring, and reporting on the full life-cycle of freight claims. This person will be processing freight carrier invoices and audits to ensure accurate and timely flow.
Essential Job Functions
- Handle and process all freight and damage claims.
- Prepare and research claims and related correspondence.
- Complete freight claims documentation, processing, settlement, and damage inspections.
- Maintain databases regarding freight claims, shortages, allowances, and supplier compliance.
- Process and complete freight invoices within timeline.
- Code and audit freight invoice and uploads.
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent customer service, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic computer operations.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to make swift, sound decisions.
- Prior Logistics experience and/or Shipping/Receiving experience desired.
