Responsibilities
The Assistant Project
Manager (APM) works closely with the Project Management team, architects,
engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met
and projects are completed on-time and on-budget. Primary responsibilities
include owning or assisting in project scheduling, budgeting, safety, and
quality control throughout the coordination, planning, and execution stages of
the project.
Career Path
You'll report directly to a
Senior PM with a long track record of successful projects, and providing the
knowledge and exposure that has advanced APMs to higher positions with more direct
and managerial responsibilities on the Project Management track.
Requirements
We
are looking for candidates who show a commitment to building a long-term career in construction
and project management. You should also have excellent communication and
organizational skills, as well as experience with modern project management tools.
- Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field, and 2-4 years of work
experience in a construction project management role. Additional work experience will be considered instead of a degree.
- High
personal and professional standards; able to meet deadlines, manage
complexity, and ask for help.
- Knowledge
of estimating, scheduling, project workflows, and building codes.
- A
commitment to following all regulated and company safety standards and
procedures.
- Excellent
written and verbal communicator with the ability to influence, negotiate,
and help others meet their potential.
