Full Time – Hourly, Non-Exempt
Job Overview
The Elementary Coordinator will assist with ministry for grades first through fifth. This includes but is not limited to: weekly worship experiences, rites of passages, discipleship opportunities, Dream Team, and events. Reports to the Elementary Associate Director.
Responsibilities Duties:
- Oversee all Elementary Sunday & Wednesday small groups: Curriculum, Small Group Guides, activities, etc.
- Oversee Dream Team onboarding, scheduling, training, appreciation, and recruitment.
- Assist with execution of rites of passage events for Elementary children. (i.e. Salvation Party, 5th Graduation, Baptism)
- Assist with large childcare events as needed.
- Assist with departmental events. (i.e. Summer Bash, Sunday Fundays)
- Assist with pastoral care as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- None
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
- 2 years experience working with children in either a volunteer or paid position.
- 2 years experience in managing teams of people is preferred.
General Expectations
- Commitment to continual growth in personal spiritual life and relationship with Christ.
- Attend Tuesday Staff Prayer Meetings, All Staff Meetings, “All Hands On Deck” Events.
- “Serve One and Attend One” at weekly Oaks Church Sunday services.
- Support the vision, values and ministry of Oaks Church through tithing, serving, etc.
- Proactive thinking and willing to learn and train others.
- Model a Godly life for volunteers.
- Be teachable with a humble and submissive attitude.
- Maintain all information confidential (about staff, projects, property, members, etc.).
