What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activity assistant and aid position at Oasis at the Keys Nursing and Rehab?
Duties and Responsibilities:
Activity Planning and Implementation:
Help Activity Director in Creating and scheduling a variety of activities, including games, crafts, exercise, and social events, tailored to the needs and interests of our residents. Assist with outings and special events and other assigned duties, facilitate group activities
Encouraging Participation:
Motivating and encouraging residents or patients to actively participate in activities, fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere. Encourage activity involvement and chart attendance.
Monitoring and Documentation:
Observing and recording participant progress, feedback, and any relevant information related to their engagement and well-being.
Safety and Support:
Ensuring the safety of participants during activities, providing assistance as needed, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Assist with 1 on 1 activities, transport residents to and from activities.
Collaboration and Communication:
Working with other staff members, healthcare professionals, and family members to ensure the smooth delivery of activities.
Qualifications:
Diploma or GED
Creativity
Experience with Alzheimer's/Dementia and special needs is a plus.
Ability to self motivate.
Flexible with schedule, some weekends and holidays are required.
