Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in an inpatient environment. This role is different than other medical roles as we are looking for someone who can help us full time with Physical Therapy exercises and with patients IV Therapy. You will be paid your hourly wage plus however many sticks you perform. Pay for the sticks will be discussed during the interview.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
  • Assist with IV infusion therapy, and other nursing procedures.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention strategies.
  • Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal hygiene.
  • Participate in discharge planning and case management for transitioning patients to appropriate levels of care.
  • Ensure infection control protocols are followed in all patient interactions.
  • Assist with wound care.

Experience
Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Critical care experience, including ICU or emergency room settings.
  • Long-term care or assisted living facilities.
  • Medical office or outpatient clinic experience.
  • Working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, or dementia care.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), and EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
  • Skills in phlebotomy, medication administration, basic life support (BLS), and vital sign monitoring. Additional preferred experiences include:
  • Pediatric nursing or working with children.
  • Home health care or travel nursing experience.
  • Knowledge of pain management techniques and acute pain management protocols. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in patient assessment, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient-centered care.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
