Pool Service Technician
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Pool Service Technician. This role involves cleaning and maintaining swimming pools, as well as performing occasional minor repairs and other duties related to pool care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain swimming pools, including netting the top and bottom, brushing walls, tiles, benches, and ladders.
- Test and balance pool water chemicals and add chemicals as needed to ensure safe and clean water.
- Vacuum pool bottoms and clean filters once a month.
- Perform minor repairs, such as replacing O-rings and other small equipment fixes.
- Handle customer service interactions with professionalism and a positive attitude, even when dealing with difficult situations.
- Assist with off-task responsibilities, such as changing tires and performing occasional sales, invoice writing, and other duties outside regular pool service work.
Requirements:
- No prior pool service experience is required, though it is a plus.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in the Florida sun and capable of performing physical tasks in hot weather.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a good attitude, even in challenging environments.
- Willingness to learn and take on non-routine tasks such as sales and administrative duties like invoicing.
- Must be customer service-oriented and able to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to change a tire is required.
Additional Information:
- The job involves being outside all day, with occasional breaks in air-conditioned vehicles between service stops. The summer heat can be tough, so physical stamina and comfort with working outdoors is a must.
- This position does not offer remote work.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
