Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual for the position cherry picker position. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in warehouse distribution and a strong background in materials handling. This role involves operating various equipment, including forklifts and cranes, to ensure efficient order picking, shipping, and receiving processes within our warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks for loading and unloading materials.
- Perform order picking duties using RF scanners to accurately fulfill customer orders.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations while handling heavy equipment and performing heavy lifting tasks.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment by adhering to warehouse management system protocols.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide support in training new staff on warehouse procedures and equipment operation as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including order picking and materials handling.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and mechanical knowledge is required.
- Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety standards, including OSHA regulations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift.
- Experience with warehouse management systems is preferred.
