What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concierge - Membership position at Ocean Reef Club?
SUMMARY
To professionally assist Members, their guests & prospective members with requests they have from day to day. Have the capability to provide information about the Club, the amenities and local area attractions and offer solutions or recommendations tailored to the member, their guest or prospective member. All interactions (in-person, over the phone or email) are expected to be conducted in a positive manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greets all members, their guests & prospective members in an outgoing and energetic fashion.
- Book reservations: Car, Dining, Outings, Sports Events, Tickets
- Finding a specific brand of cigar or coffee to ordering flower gifts, jewelry and apparel may also be requested.
- Make dining and other reservations and reserve tickets for events
- Provide information about local features such as shopping, dining, nightlife, and recreational destinations
- Make travel arrangements for sightseeing and other tours
- Perform office duties on a temporary basis when needed
- Coordinate grocery orders with Wynn’s market
- Provide individuals or small parties with dedicated Concierge services for the duration of their activities
- Capability to provide information about the Club, amenities and local area attractions
- Understand Club policy and procedure and how best to apply these when assisting the Member, Members’ Guest or Prospective Member
- Assist with inquiries for accommodation requests
- Managing reservations as necessary for accommodations, transportation, dining, spa, golf, tennis, etc.
- Provide Members, Members’ Guest and Prospective members with activity schedule, itinerary and/or individual confirmations as requested
- Assist Members/Guests with all special requests and requirements (i.e. ordering flowers, amenities, cakes, etc.)
- Provide assistance to Bell stand or Front Desk as necessary to ensure Member Service remains top priority
- Provide members, members guests and prospective members with babysitter and/or pet sitter contact list
- Keep the concierge desk organized and well maintained
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. · Basic mathematical and typing skills.
· General resort/private club background
· Basic computer skills preferred: CLS, Windows, MS Word, Outlook, and/or Excel
· Must be organized, detail oriented, and work well under pressure
· Must be able to handle multiple projects at any given time
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma required. Minimum two years experience in the private club, large hotel or resort, preferred. It is desired for you to have first-hand knowledge of Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.
LANGUAGE
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in the English.
