What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ocean State Academy- Full-Time Social Worker position at Ocean State Academy?
The Ocean State Academy is a fast-growing non-public special education school dedicated to meeting the needs of a diverse student body from communities throughout Rhode Island. We are looking to add qualified educators. Duties and Responsibilities to include:
-Providing support to students with behavioral and emotional disorders
-Consults with parents, teachers, and school districts to problem solve effective interventions
-Participates in the development of individualized education programming
-Serves as liaison between the school and community resources
-Maintains clinical record keeping
-Performs crisis intervention as needed
-Report to the school Principal and works closely with the Dean of Students in supporting the philosophy of the program and
maintaining a climate of academic excellence
-Acts ethically and with integrity while working with the student population
