The Paraprofessional provides assistance to teachers with classroom organization, management, and instructional strategies. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs any combination of tasks to assist teaching staff. Works individually with assigned students to ensure that each student benefits from the assignment or task. Uses learning tools, including computer-based training. Assists teachers with the preparation of boards and wall materials as it relates to daily lesson plans. Grades tests or student assignments. Makes copies and prints materials for classes. Requirements: EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent GED required CERTIFICATION: Current GA Paraprofessional Certificate; OR High School Diploma or equivalent GED AND passed GA paraprofessional assessment; OR Associate's degree or completed 2 years of study at an institution of higher education.
