Lottery Draw Specialist (Part Time)

The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is in search of a Lottery Draw Specialist (Draw Specialist). This part-time position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Lottery and Gaming (DC Lottery). The incumbent reports to the Director, Resources Management (Director) and performs tasks and assignments related to the management and operations of drawings for on-line games, instant ticket second chance drawings and special event drawings.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Certifying with the auditor that the lottery machines are randomly selected ensuring fair and equitable results
  • Viewing and listening to recordings of drawings to verify winning numbers selected
  • Reviewing all Program Manager's checklists to identify any problems and unusual occurrences during drawings with draw equipment
  • Inspecting conditions of all draws, lottery equipment for wear, stress, cracks, breaks and shortages
  • Performing related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: Two (2) years of progressive work experience performing related duties and responsibilities such as reviewing and evaluating data, reports, and/or processes to make recommendations for improvement and ensure compliance with established procedures guidelines and regulations; providing administrative and customer service support.

Selected candidate must be able to work weekends.
