The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is in search of a Revenue Officer. This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR), Collection and Enforcement Administration (CEA). The incumbent collects delinquent taxes and secures delinquent tax returns from taxpayers who have not resolved their obligations in response to prior correspondence or other contact.

This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR), Collection and Enforcement Administration (CEA). The incumbent collects delinquent taxes and secures delinquent tax returns from taxpayers who have not resolved their obligations in response to prior correspondence or other contact.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting interviews with taxpayers (and/or their representatives) in different environments as part of the investigative process of collecting delinquent taxes and securing delinquent tax returns
- Counseling taxpayers on their tax filing status, deposit and payment obligations and any actions needed to bring taxpayer into full compliance
- Investigating, verifying, and analyzing taxpayers’ financial conditions including any financial records or tangible assets and making recommendations to the supervisor to best collect on delinquent accounts
- Performing other related duties as assigned
